Green People – Organic Babies Review

Baby-A were given the chance to test and review some beautiful products from Green People. All of their products are totally natural and they have a wide range to suit the needs of everybody. We received two products from their Organic Babies range; Mother and baby balm and Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash & Shampoo .

 As mentioned in previous reviews Sydney suffers with sensitive skin so we are always on the look out for chemical free, natural products and Green People provided us with just that!

 Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash& Shampoo

The baby wash is described by Green People … “ Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash is made without Parabens, Lanolin, phthalates, artificial perfumes, petrochemicals and colourants to bring you the purest wash that nature can offer.” It contains ORGANIC ALOE VERA, CHAMOMILE, YUCCA, MANDARIN & LAVENDER all fair trade ingredients are used.

We put it to the test and this is what we found; Organic Babies Lavender Baby Wash & Shampoo was nicely packaged great for use at home and travel. We poured it under warm water and we were instantly elevated in to calm and tranquility. It gave such a pleasant relaxing aroma and produced lovely soft, gentle bubbles (which are always a hit with Sydney). Sydney splashed about in the bath night after night getting the bubbles in his eyes and mouth without any stinging or reaction. With most things, Sydney always feels the need to do a taste test and it seemed to pass, as one evening he kept saying “ummm nice water” !! It was comforting knowing that what he was swallowing was not harmful. Sydney has long wavy hair and it looked so shiny after washing with the babies organic wash. It was great to have a wash and shampoo in one bottle!

For an objective review I thought that I would also test it. The Organic babies lavender baby wash really made my skin feel soft. I also struggle with bubble bath and shower gels as I find they are too harsh for my skin but this baby wash truly felt like it helped my skin condition and I was really impressed.

Organic babies Mother and baby balm

Green People break down the ingredients and state the benefits of each of them;

  • Organic Calendula and Vitamin E soothe sore cracked nipples before and after breastfeeding,

  • Rich in Organic Shea Butter to reduce dry skin for mum and baby Organic Sunflower,

  • Sweet Almond and Hemp Seed Oil softens the perineum region before birth Fragrance free and gentle for frequent use – use as often as required

As it could be used in delicate areas we knew that it would be suitable for all of the family’s skin. The balm was packaged in the same size tube as the baby wash so it was a good size. On squeezing the balm on to my hand I found that a little went along way. The balm was unscented and had a slight oily feel to it. When it was first applied to the skin there was a slight grainy texture but this disappeared once it had soaked in. The balm was very gentle on the skin and it felt really lovely. We used it on Sydney’s arms and legs as an all over moisturiser, I used it on my hands and face and also from time to time as a moisturiser after my bath. I liked the fact that although it absorbed really well that I could still feel it on my skin, it felt like a luxury product, a must for winter especially after a nice hot bath.

This product had the added benefit of not only been totally natural but also the fact that it could be used as a great multi-purpose balm. For all of those breastfeeding mummies or pregnant ladies looking for a beautiful natural product this could be an essential in soothing delicate sore areas as well as being gentle enough to use on your little baby.
