Forever Living review

We were asked to test and review products from the Forever Living range. All of their products are Aloe Vera based and they have a very extensive range.

We picked out three items to review; Aloe Vera Gelly, Aloe Propolis Crème and Aloe Heat Lotion. Being a big fan of Aloe Vera we were happy to test these lovely products as we could test them for various uses.

Aloe Vera Gelly

Aloe Vera Gelly made from 100% Aloe Vera and is said to be; “Essentially identical to the Aloe Vera plant’s inner leaf, our 100% stabilised Aloe Vera Gelly lubricates sensitive tissue safely. As if squeezed from the leaf, it’s absorbed quickly and calms irritated skin and helps soothing scarred skin.”

We loved this product as it was natural, simple and was great on all of our skin. The gelly had very silky smooth texture and felt very soothing once applied onto the skin. Sydney insisted that gelly was squeezed onto each hand as he liked to eat/ put it on himself. It always made him giggle as he liked the texture and once on his skin he said “its cold”. Despite the coldness he was not put off at all and shouted “more”. Baby-A can always rely on Sydney for honest reviews, despite the fact that he is only two years old he is very opinionated! We found that the Aloe Vera Gelly was fabulous and is something we will continue to use.

Aloe Propolis Creme

A rich, creamy blend of aloe vera, bee propolis, chamomile and comfrey, that does more than moisturise and condition your skin. Soothes irritated skin and leaves a protective barrier making it ideal for dry skin.”

This cream was intriguing due to it’s ingredients, Aloe and bee propolis and and I was curious to see how good it really was. I decided to use this as a facial moisturiser as it was nice and thick, a perfect texture to help revive tired winter skin. It smelt really nice which was also appealing. I used it under my make-up and although initially I thought it was too thick it was surprising how fast it absorbed onto my face. It seemed to instantly give moisture to my face and it felt really lovely and soft after just one use! I continued to use the cream for a few days, I found that I may have been putting too much on at first, as on a few occasions I seemed to have excess cream on my hands. I soon realised  that not  much was needed, which was a bonus as a tube would last quite a while. For me The Forever living Aloe Propolis Creme was indeed a winner and I would definitely recommend it as a good quality moisturiser with the extra benefit of it being Aloe Vera based.

Aloe Heat Lotion

Luxury massage lotion providing blissful relief from everyday stress and strains. Excellent warming lotion, ideal for maintaining healthy joints and muscles, especially good for sports people.”

This cream was a hit with the boys in the family. Graham was the first person to use it ( or made to at least) as he had pulled his shoulder. I explained that we had been given the perfect thing for muscle pain and with a little bit of a protest he relented and let me put it some on his shoulder. The cream was very strong smelling which was due to the eucalyptus and this added to the complaint from Graham but after a little while as it sunk in, he had to admit that he thought that it had helped ease the soreness in his shoulder!

A few days later Sydney started with a cold and he was struggling on a night as he had a stuffy nose. I had heard that the Aloe Heat Lotion was good for easing congestion so I put a little on his chest and on his heels and it did seem to help him, as he slept a lot better that night.

In summary The Forever Living products were pretty remarkable for different reasons, we loved the Aloe Vera Gelly for the simple fact it was straight forward and a good thing to have in the house for general cuts, bruises, sores and skin irritations.

The Aloe Propolis Creme was lovely in soothing dry skin and great for everyday use, and the Aloe Heat lotion was a genuinely great product for muscular aches, pains and for colds again an essential in the family home.
